SERVICE LEVELS
- DIRECT deliveries are picked up and delivered with the highest priority. Use when it is absolutely necessary, it is a charter service.
- RUSH deliveries are picked up and delivered within approximately 2 hours from the time the order is ready for pick up. After 4:00p.m. DIRECT rates will apply.
- SAMEDAY deliveries are picked up and delivered within approximately 4 hours from the time the order is ready for pick up. Same day deliveries must be ordered by 2:00 pm.
- OVERNIGHT deliveries are picked up the same business day and delivered the next business day to most destinations. Call our friendly staff for delivery times.
- Surcharges apply to some off-route locations.
C.O.D. SHIPMENTS
- Maximum Express & Freight Ltd will only accept C.O.D. shipments if prearranged at the time the order is placed.
RE-DELIVERY& WRONG ADDRESSES
- Re-Delivery and wrong addresses will be charged an additional charge.
WAITING, UNLOADING/LOADING TIME & NO PICK UP
- Waiting time, unloading/loading time and if shipment is not ready at time of pick up additional charges will apply.
RE-WEIGH & CUBING OF SHIPMENTS
- Maximum Express & Freight Ltd reserves the right to re-weigh and/or cube all shipments to the greater amount (10 lbs per cubic foot) to calculate the cubed weight of a shipment, multiply in inches: (length x width x height) then divide by 1,728 x 10 = cubic weight in lbs.
INSURANCE
- Insurance is available at a charge of $2.00 per $100.00 (or part thereof) to a maximum declared value of $500.00. For shipments traveling through interline points additional insurance charges will apply.
TAXES
- The customer will pay to Maximum Express & Freight Ltd any and all applicable taxes as required by law. Prices do not include taxes. GST Number 871318408RT
LIABILITY & CLAIM
- The carrier assumes maximum liability of $2.00 per lb or $4.41 per kg, to a maximum of $100 per waybill unless a higher value is declared on the waybill at the time of pickup. Any damage or discrepancies must be noted at the time of delivery as the receiver's signature on delivery releases Maximum Express & Freight Ltd of all liability for a shipment. In case of damage, please call 1-866-721-3278 within 48 hours of delivery and request an immediate inspection. You must submit a letter of intent to claim for damage within 7 days.
- Shipment containing glass, liquids, ceramics, jewelry, precious stones, money, bonds, items requiring temperature control, privately packaged personal items or items prohibited unknowingly accepted by Maximum Express & Freight Ltd will travel at the shipper's risk on a no-value basis and as such are not liable for claims against Maximum Express & Freight Ltd.
- The shipper will be responsible for all shipping charges on shipments where the receiver refuses to pay any or all collect charges, including storage and/or return charges.
- Signature is required for all deliveries unless prior arrangements have been made with Maximum Express & Freight Ltd. Items will not be left at destinations without a signature and envelopes will not be mail slotted.
Fuel Surcharges may apply to all Shipments.
Carrier does not guarantee delivery times.
